Ahmet Necdet Cupur is a Turkish director and screenwriter. After studying to be an engineer, he got interested in filmmaking, quit his job and moved to Paris. Having completed two short documentaries there, he returned to his home village to make his first feature-length documentary about his own family. A part of DocPoint’s International Competition, Les Enfants Terribles is a tale of a Muslim family, in which the modern world of young people clashes with the conservative views of their parents. The film was awarded in the Sarajevo Film Festival with the Human Rights Award.
