Mustafe Hassan is the Finnish-Somalian protagonist of Golden Land, featured in the National Competition of DocPoint. According to him, the film is a window into his life and his dreams. Hassan, who escaped the Somalian civil war to Finland in 1994, returned to his origins after 25 years, along with his wife and Finnish-born children. His plan was to open a mining company on his family land. The film records their migration as well as the richness and conflicts of having two countries to call home.
