Niels Pagh Andersen is a Danish master of film editing, who has edited over 250 films during his career and worked in many countries. He has worked on many highly acclaimed films, like The Act of Killing and The Look of Silence, both directed by Joshua Oppenheimer. Andersen is also known through Pirjo Honkasalo’s films, as he is the editor of The 3 Rooms of Melancholia and Concrete Night. Andersen won a Jussi award for editing Concrete Night. He has also lectured and taught in numerous film schools and universities around the world.

Andersen’s book Order in Chaos: Storytelling and Editing in Documentary Film was published recently. The book will be sold in the Rosebud Sivullinen bookshop (Kaisa-talo, Kaisaniemenkatu 5, Helsinki), where the author will be present on Thursday, Feb 3, at 13.00-15.00.
